Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades

Your 8-day Moroccan adventure begins with a pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation. We’ll drive east, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop for photos of the stunning landscapes.

We will visit the famous Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular filming location for Hollywood movies. After exploring the ancient streets and having lunch, we continue through Ouarzazate and the scenic Rose Valley. You’ll spend the night in a hotel in Boumalne Dades, enjoying a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we depart for the Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon where you can walk between its towering cliffs and appreciate its immense scale.

The journey then leads further south towards the Sahara Desert. We arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in the afternoon. Here, you will mount a camel for a peaceful trek into the heart of the dunes in time to watch a breathtaking Saharan sunset. The trek takes you to your luxury desert camp. The evening features a delicious dinner, live Berber music around a campfire, and a night spent in a comfortable tent under a brilliant canopy of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Fes

Wake up early to witness a magnificent desert sunrise painting the dunes in incredible colors. After breakfast at the camp, you will camel trek back to the village of Merzouga to meet your driver.

We then begin the journey north towards Fes. You will travel through the stunning Ziz Valley oasis and stop in Midelt for lunch. The drive continues through the scenic Cedar Forests of Azrou, where you may spot Barbary apes, and through the unique alpine-style town of Ifrane. You will be dropped off at your riad in Fes in the evening.

Day 4: Fes – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we depart Fes and head north into the picturesque Rif Mountains. Our destination is the enchanting ‘Blue Pearl’ of Morocco, Chefchaouen. We will arrive in the afternoon and check into your riad. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace and get lost in its spellbinding, blue-washed medina.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Tetouan – Tangier

Enjoy a final breakfast in the blue city before we depart for the coast. We journey to Tetouan, a city known for its beautiful Hispano-Moorish architecture. Our final destination is Tangier, the historic gateway where Africa and Europe meet. Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation with free time to begin exploring this culturally rich port city.

Day 6: Tangier – Coastal Drive – Asilah

This morning, we trace the Atlantic coastline south to the artistic seaside town of Asilah. This charming port is famous for its well-preserved, white-washed medina adorned with vibrant murals. You will have time to explore its historic ramparts and soak in the tranquil atmosphere before checking into your accommodation for the evening.

Day 7: Asilah – Coastal Journey – Rabat

Our coastal drive continues south to Morocco’s political capital, Rabat. Upon arrival, we will visit the city’s key landmarks, including the iconic Hassan Tower and the elegant Mausoleum of Mohammed V. This exploration showcases Rabat’s unique blend of history and modern design before you check into your hotel for the night.

Day 8: Rabat – Casablanca – Departure

On the final day, we travel to Casablanca. Here, we will visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest, overlooking the Atlantic. You’ll have time to admire its grand scale and stunning architecture. Following this visit, your 8-day tour concludes with a transfer to your Casablanca hotel or the airport for your departure.
